Over Memorial Day weekend the gallery got a new look. The interior walls were freshly repainted and given some warm inviting colors. The layout of the display pieces and artist work were re-organized making it feel like a larger space. Come in and see the change! We will soon be adding some touches to the outside of the building as well.

Heritage Arts Gallery and Gifts had its 2nd Annual Spring Benefit Concert at the Michigan Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 25th at 3:00 PM. The concert featured some of the regions finest entertainment. A men's quartet made up of Craig Petersen (Fargo), Michael Stomenger (Grand Forks), Andrew Bruns (Grand Forks), and Andrew Howard (Grand Forks) sang gospel selections by the Gaither Vocal Band. Also on the program was the hand-chime ensemble from the McVille Lutheran Church under the direction of Verna Lindvall. Vocalists Sharon Young (Michigan), and Paulette Deutsch (Northwood), Michael Stromenger (Grand Forks) and Drew Bruns (Grand Forks) rounded out the program with vocal selections including classical, country, sacred, and musical theatre numbers.
Gallery members donated art work and heritage crafts for a silent auction held at the concert and refreshments were served afterwards. Proceeds from the concert went toward matching a grant awarded the gallery by the ND Department of Tourism to create a website and promotional brochures.
